Learn more about my story and life from this podcast interview on the Consult ROI podcast. My dad taught me how to work. My mom taught me to have a positive attitude. From those early years, I've learned to be a happy hard worker all my life.
I remember wanting to earn and make money not long after those life lessons were instilled in me. When I was in the 4th grade, it was yearbook day at school. I paid my hard earned $3 for my copy weeks in advance. I was excited to have all of my friends and classmates sign it and most notes said something original like, "Have a great Summer!" With several signatures and showing it wasn't exactly brand new, I was even more excited when another student found that yearbooks were all sold out, approached me and offered to buy it for $5! Realizing that I could almost double my money, I took the deal with no sentimental thought. With the additional funds in my pocket, I ran home to tell my mom all about it.
Unfortunately, she wasn't quite as excited as I was and taught me a lesson that not everything is about making money. Rather, it's about the people we meet, the experiences we have and the memories we make. I've never forgotten the lesson I learned that day as it has carried me throughout my career.
As the former National Sales and Product Trainer for the dental software division of one of the worlds largest health care, veterinary, and dental supply companies, I specialized in educating and training inside sales and outside sales teams. Working hard to develop a unique talent to translate technical product knowledge and information into an easy to follow and understandable format through a sales process, I've been fortunate to work with hundreds of sales reps and thousands of dental offices throughout the United States and Canada as a result.
It's so much fun and I truly enjoy working with and educating dental, business and sales teams in maximizing time at industry trade shows, expanding their reach via webinars, phone, email, text and employing consultative sales process strategies along the way. I've positioned myself as the resource to ensure they have the tools, training and knowledge to be successful.
In 2013, I became a certified facilitator of the professional sales course, Integrity Selling®. I train sales teams in this proven methodology which allows reps to differentiate themselves and stand out from the competition. It is refreshing when reps are presenting and consulting with customers in a natural, quality sales process where they are ultimately providing win-win solutions for all parties involved.
I earned my Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning with Technology, from Ashford University, and graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. Now, I continue down that path as a student of sales and a lifelong learner.
My diverse experience over the past 20 years and has allowed me to serve not only in dental, but in terms of business and marketing where successful principles and methodologies apply across the board. Yet, I can also be hyper focused to strengthen the position of those I work with. I love living in Utah and enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife, Karla, and our five children.
